After securing yet another Gippsland Premiership it was a dream start for Peter Gelagotis as he commenced the new season with a Maiden City Double with promising gallopers Moss N Dale and Mr Wonderful both winning at Sandown in style.

Both ridden perfectly by gun apprentice Beau Mertens it was a great day for the jockey/trainer partnership that has blossomed over the past months between the pair and it appears there is more in store for these two lightly race gallopers based on there performances.

"Both races tactically worked out perfect for our horses today and Beau showed alot of class and patience to execute the pre race plans for both races and it was very pleasing to get this result and set up a great spring for the stable" said Stable Manager Manny Gelagotis

Mr Wonderful & Moss N Dale will be given there chance at better grade in the coming weeks and hopefully keep building on there impressive form along with the great strike rate building between Mertens and Gelagotis.
