Mr Wonderful continues the amaizing run Gippsland Trainer Peter Gelagotis is having this season by winning his 4th straight race after a superb front running ride by leading apprentice Beau Mertens at Sandown.

Stepping out to the 1800m at his favorite track Sandown , Mertens quickly controlled the race from start to finsih to hold off all challenges in what looked like a very promising display of stamina and clearly showed that Mr Wonderful has a big win in him heading into the spring carnival.

"This horse just continues to climb the tree and is in really good form and his confidance is sky high thanks to all the team back home and of course his rider Beau Mertens who has certainly struck up a good association with the quality son of High Chaparral" said Peter Gelagotis

In the first month of the new racing season The Gelagotis stable has the best strike rate in Melbourne of the top 20 trainers on the metro premiership and this looks to continue with some quality runners coming up in the spring carnival.
