Promising Kiwi bred Meat Traders showed a very impressive turn of foot after being posted 3 wide at Sale to win his Maiden Race over 1400m at only his 4th start to give leading Gippsland Trainer Peter Gelagotis another potential city grade horse in his care.

Raced by a bunch of mates in the Meat Industry the name needs no introduction and the son of Pins looks destined for City grade in the coming months in the already impressive team of good gallopers based in Moe with Gelagotis.

"Since gelding this horse from his first campaign he is delivering the promise he has always shown and its a great story with the horse being passed in at the Melbourne Premier Sales and a great friend (Stephen Gray who trains in Singapore) suggested to educate the horse in Australia and now its raced with business mates in the meat game in Bill Gleeson , Steve & Paul Moss, Adrian Florance & Brad Dunnett so its great to have another good horse for great clients of the stable" Gelagotis states

Meat Traders will be targeting the late 3yo staying races in Adelaide & Melbourne before he is turned out for the spring all going well.
