AxispointAxis Point always had the big shoes to fill being the half sister to Stable mate Esprit Rossa and the early indications indicated no evidence of being anywhere near as good until the day the blinkers went on and she became a race horse. In a great twist the daughter of Spinning World had always done everything right however in her trials showed a lack of street smarts and wasn't giving the riders the right feel until a jump out Moe with Blinkers on gave her the confidence to turn the corner and that she did in great style on her home track.

"The most improved horse in my stable at the time and he debut win with Dale Smith in the saddle gave me great heart we finally had something to deal with and she went on to run 2 great placings this preparation at Sale in good company and it was a big relief as we had some new clients into the stable and they now have had a great experience with her having 3 starts for a win , second & third which is ideal. I think she will further mature and the owners will have a heap of fun in the future and she has laid a solid foundation" said trainer Peter Gelagotis

Axis Point has been turned out and will be bought back for the spring and will no doubt be given time to get to the city where she should graduate based on form.
