Promisetorock230If there was ever an unlucky horse Promise To Rock fits the bill as she has been an extremely unlucky horse during her brief career however finally saluted in good style at Geelong. The daughter of the mighty Stallion Fastnet Rock who was purchased at the Easter Yearling Sales in Sydney always showed ability however was always going to be a time horse and she has matured slowly and has been very consistent through her short career.

"It has been a terribly frustrating time for the connections and the horse and she just needed a break and Craig Newitt has ridden her now a few times and it was pleasing to see her beat a promising stayer from the Moody yard and win like a horse going places so whilst we have had some speed bumps along t he way I think she will further develop and improve with time and win many more races which will enhance her lovely pedigree the she has which gives her a bright future like we have always thought" said Peter Gelagotis.
